A new year doesn't end the struggle against suicide, especially for LGBT youth. The Trevor Project is one of the many charities I owe my life to, like many others out there. Pushing against anti-LGBT legislation and to stop conversion therapy at every level.
I almost lost my own life around 2017, and during some of my darkest, most vulnerable moments, I was able to reach out for help when I needed it, even at 3:30am and everyone I knew was asleep. I owe this charity, along with many others, my life, and I want to show my gratitude.
